How do I open an account?
Creating your Connect Invest account is easy. Get started here and verify your email address. The second step is identity verification. The final step is to link your bank account to your Connect Invest wallet to transfer funds to make investments.

What types of accounts can I use to invest?

You can invest using a variety of account types, including:
• Personal cash accounts
• IRAs
• Trust accounts
• Business accounts

If you're investing through a trust or business accounts, please contact us here to get started. If you would like to open a self-directed IRA account to invest, you may do so with Directed Trust Company or Preferred Trust Company

Why do I need to provide personal information?
Connect Invest is required to complete identity verification to meet the financial suitability requirements. Connect Invest uses a third-party integration for identity verification. This information is also necessary to prepare your tax documents at the end of the year.

What are the requirements for opening an account?
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have U.S. Social Security Number

Does Connect Invest charge any fees to invest?

No, Connect Invest does not charge investor fees. You can open an account, fund your wallet, and invest without any platform fees.



What is Connect Invest wallet?

Your Connect Invest Wallet is the secure digital wallet linked to your account. It’s where your funds are held when you receive interest payments and principal payments from your active investments.

From your Wallet, you can:
• Withdraw funds
• Reinvest into new Short Notes
• Add additional funds anytime

And as a bonus, if you maintain $5,000+ in have active investments, your Wallet balance automatically earns 2% APY.

Are investment returns guaranteed?
No investments are guaranteed; there is risk in all investments. The loans in the Connect Portfolio are collateral-backed by real estate projects. All loans are underwritten by our loan originator and structured in a first-position lien, meaning they have the legal right to foreclose and recover value if a borrower defaults. This process is designed to protect the loan and help repay investors.

What are the yields on your investments?

Connect Notes offer a fixed annualized return between 7.5% and 9.0%, depending on the term you select.


What is the investment minimum?

The minimum investment for a Connect Note is $500.


What am I investing in?
You are purchasing a note from a Regulation A Tier 2 that Connect Invest was qualified to offer by the SEC. Click here for additional information provided by the SEC. Reference our Offering Circular for the description of the use of proceeds. 

Am I able to have more than one Short Note?

Yes. You can invest in multiple Short Notes, and many investors build a laddered strategy using several.


How often will I receive an interest payment?
Interest payments are made 30 days after activation of your Short Note, and will be paid every 30 days thereafter. These payments are not contingent on the number of deals funded through Short Notes, as the notes are required to pay investors their interest regardless of utilization.

What are Short Notes?
Short Notes allow investors the ability to invest in real estate. Once invested in a Short Note, your funds are diversified across a portfolio of real estate loans like a mutual fund. This minimizes the risk for Connect Invest Short Note investors. 

Can I liquidate a Short Note?
Yes, it is possible to liquidate your Short Note. Please click here to view the liquidation forfeiture and process. To submit a liquidation request, please click here.

How do I invest?
First, you must set up your account and have available funds in your Connect Invest wallet. Investing is as easy as going to investment listings and view details on the investment you would like to make. You will select invest now, input your investment amount, sign the subscription agreement, and confirm your investment. 

Do I need to be an accredited investor?
No, you do not need to be an accredited investor to invest in our investments. Connect Invest Short Notes are available to verified investors. 

Is there a maximum amount I can invest?
The maximum amount an individual can invest varies on their net income and net worth. Please reference our offering circular.

What documentation do I receive upon investing?
A copy of the signed subscription agreement and note purchase agreement will be emailed to you with your investment details.

Account management

How do I verify my bank account?
You can verify your bank account two ways. The fastest way is via our third party partner Plaid, where you'll enter your online banking credentials for bank verification. The second way is with our micro deposits function, where you can enter your bank account and routing number and Connect Invest will deposit two small amounts into your bank account for verification. 

How do I deposit funds into my account?
Investors may deposit funds into their account through the standard ACH banking process. Amounts greater than $100,000 should be transferred through a wire transfer. Contact us to obtain the wire instructions. 

What tax information will I receive on the income generated from my investments?
A Form 1099-INT is used to report income from interest generated above $10 for the tax year. 

How can I secure my account?
Multi-factor authentication can be set up in the accounts profile settings.

What should I do if I am having problems accessing my account?
If you encounter account problems such as a locked account, password reset, or sign-in trouble, please contact us. If you need immediate assistance, please call 866-795-7558.

How can I modify or add a beneficiary to my account?
